Simple apartments in the green Chianti hillsLa valle a Polvereto(green valley) is located in central Italy, straight in heart of Tuscany, between Montespertoli, S. Casciano Val di Pesa and Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. It is composed of 28 hectares of Chianti DOCG vineyards, olive groves and bush, where you can go for a nice 2 kms long walk. This is a good value, family-friendly agritourismo. Half-way between Siena and Florence, this ancient farm has been transformed into a vacation spot that is notable for beautiful views, sunny pool and extensive property for rambling. There is a small restaurant on the premises: it is possible to request dinners or breakfasts on site at an extra charge. The breakfast buffet offers: caffé, cappuccino, tea, orange juice, bread, croissants, butter, jam, ham and cheese.
 An private unpaved road (approx. 800 m) leads to the farm. The property owner Brunella will warmly welcome you. Guests pass in and out of her kitchen, stopping for a cup of tea and a chat. And the two cats may adopt a guest now and then, too.
The farm is an active "Azienda Agricola" and cultivates the neighbouring fields. You may stroll through the olive groves and vineyards and taste the excellent Chianti wine and olive oil produced by the farm.
Around the main house and the annexed buildings there is a beautiful garden with various kinds of roses, clematis, herbs and shrubs and a large swimming pool. The pool measures 7 x 14 m, is 1-2 m deep and open daily from 9 am til 7 pm - on Saturdays opening only commencing 4 pm because of weekly pool cleaning service.
There are six apartments, five of which are offered here. All of them have an equipped outdoor area where you can have lunch or dinner. The furnishing is simple and functional. All kitchens are equipped with fridge, freezer, oven and dishwasher. All apartments have satellite TV and a mini safe. A barbecue in the garden and the pool are conjointly used. Don't expect luxury. The advantage of this property are the beautiful views from the pool and the vicinity to Florence and Siena.
The location is great for visiting Tuscany and its highlight cities of Siena and Florence. The property seems so rural and remote, but is only a 15 minutes' drive from the Florence-Siena highway (12 km). Here, you are about equidistant to Florence and Siena, about a 45 minutes' drive, making them good day-trips together with the rich treasure of Tuscan hill towns and vineyards. The area, near Montespertoli, is known for its wine and mild climate. One hour of driving takes you to the sea. The next village is Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (6 km), where you can find a supermarket, several grocery shops, a butcher, bakery, several restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, bank and a post office. There is also the bus stop with good connections to Florence.
In the proximity there is a great variety of small trattorias and specialty restaurants - each night you can dine in a new place (we will provide you with tips for this region).
